When I started going to the Weekend Theatre Workshop by Samahaara, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. It was an impulsive decision made out of sheer boredom and boy, was it way more rewarding than that! Samahaara has helped me understand what it is like to know yourself and project yourself through the art of theatre. I’ve met people from different walks of life and shared ideas, thoughts and opinions with them, which honestly otherwise, I couldn’t have done. Rathna Shekar sir had always made sure that our classes and rehearsals made us think, rather than just be.
What started off as a way to kill time, might just happen to be my passion. I’m sure there are many people out there who will open their newspapers soon, look at the Samahaara event and go, “Yes, that is what I’d like to try!”, just as I did.
Very proud to be part of a team that has accomplished so much in such little time.
To the team, may it always grow, teach and accomplish.
