Vikas Jain : Being Samahaarian.

VIKAS JAIN

“I’m a Samahaarian because I’m lucky to be a part of it and also proud of being one.”

A B.A. Commerce and Computers graduate, Vikas is pursuing his one and only passion of acing full time now. And the journey from this side to that end could simply be put as a case of serendipity. How you ask? Well, answer this first.. Have you ever believed that a random occurrence would end up changing the course of your life drastically? All those believers, you are already there and the non-believers and skeptics, here we present another case-study, a tale which should be added onto the list of why you should cross-over.

How much can a random sms affect your life? A lot in the case of Vikas, as an sms forwarded to him by an nth degree of connection landed him at the doors of the workshop Samahaara was conducting. Now this wasn’t the first time Vikas had seen a stage or for that part performed, but this would be one of those steps which helped him realize the degree of his own passion, love and talent for the art form called theatre.

He has been performing on stage, be it acting or dance or something else, since his kindergarten. He has always been attracted to the stage and he is proud to perform as he enjoys himself thoroughly while at it.  And though he claims he has always loved performing on stage, it was only a couple of Samahaara acting workshops and about 18 months later that this love converted to passion and in turn to a choice of career with Vikas making a decision to pursue acting full time.

Working with Samahaara, he says, has been an experience in itself… he learned, he enjoyed and he enjoyed the learning. Samahaara has helped him to grow as a person and as an actor and it is the reason behind the kind of person he is today, both as an actor and as an individual. He concludes saying he is happy and also thankful.
