I wanted to join theatre since a long time but didn’t due to so many reasons that life offers every day. I joined Samahaara in Aug last year and had very little expectations at that time. I just wanted to make a start.
Now that I think of it, I am sad that I didn’t do it earlier and happy that I did it. Samahaara is special as it meant meeting great people and having great conversations. It meant realization of the power of story-telling. It meant learning more every time and coming home richer with thoughts and ideas.
But most importantly, Samahaara will always be special to me because here I met some most amazing human beings and have built relationships that I think will be my fondest memories and wealth when decades fly. Theatre for me has just started and I know it is going to be a journey from here. And you got to stop and smell the roses along the way.
In one of the open mics I asked Rathna Sir what it means and if I could do it as well. It was his encouragement that I went on the stage again and performed in the comedy nights.
I am glad that I smelled the rose along the way.
I never thought I would ever do it, I did not know would love doing it so much. And it makes me think – there are so many things we miss in life, every day, just because we do not take a chance at it.
Are we what we could be? What could we be?
