Intense, beautiful and fresh: Athol Fugard’s The Island was staged on 16 Oct, 2011 at Lamakaan to conclude the Samahaara Theatre Weekend consisting of two other workshop productions Colors of Love and The Last Wish Baby. The play was directed by Dr.Joly Puthussery of the University of Hyderabad. Vikas Jain and Uday played their parts to perfection and the unusual setting and use of space was appreciated by all. There were cries for an encore…we hear you.
