Rathna Shekar Reddy conducted three workshops for Vidyaranya School, Saifabad this year for the students of classes 5th, 6th and 9th in March 2014 and July 2014. Samahaara had already conducted a workshop for the same school a few years ago and were excited to work with these wonderful students once again and interact with different batches.
Rathna Shekar also conducted a workshop for the teachers of the school in August 2014 on how to direct actors, a useful and important tool for schools that have an active dramatics society.
Workshops in schools are an extremely satisfying experience for Team Samahaara as we have often seen how kids blossom within the week of participating in the workshop. Previously shy, reserved children come out of their shells and change forever, some even go on to come work with us and take further classes eventually (during holidays when we do workshops specifically for those age groups). Creative streaks that kids naturally contain are unleashed and amidst much fun, laughter and some intense team building and acting exercises, Samahaara workshops for schools always ends on a high note. We would like to thank Vidyaranya school for their interest in theatre and Samahaara.
